Wireless router behind office wireless router

We have an interoffice wireless router that is left unsecure so that all who enter our building may access the network. Within our office, there are multiple offices connected either wireless or LAN.

I want to connect our own wireless router from the LAN and then share our wireless with only the three wireless computers within our smaller office using our MAC addresses. I thought this would be simple enough, but it turns out it is not. I cannot figure out why...

    Any experiences?

Yes, but you'll have to describe the problem a little more if you want some help. What is happening or not happening? Will a laptop detect the signal from you access point but can't authenticate... etc?

    Ex,

The problem is that the router will not grab an IP. It recognizes all machines on the network, but it will not allow them to connect because the router wont take an IP. It is a DLink DI-624. The DNS info sticks at 0.0.0.0. I was thinking, if I connect a machine directly and took the IP information from there and then manually entered it after connecting the LAN back to the network... would that work?
