    That's way too slow -- the one that I referred to is offering 3mbps for their strongest plan.

    Also I need to stick local, but I'm asking if anyone knows how reliable the connection is with these -- just sitting down in an apartment (but it's a basement apartment) however it shouldn't be a big deal.

    Do you need a black box? It says you need a modem (newbie here to this stuff) so what does that mean? $99 for the modem, that's the black box I think?
