Wireless Networking help needed!

Hello. I don’t know much about networking but I’d really like my two computers to connect with each other. I’ll mainly be using the networking as a source for transferring files.
There are many types of networkins. So I’ll be specific with the system configurations of both my computer.
I have a wireless router/modem. It’s an aztech wireless modem, the one LDN uses.

My first PC doesn’t have integrated Wi-Fi. It’s a desktop PC and it connects to the router using cable.
My other PC is my Dell 1535 Laptop, which has integrated Wi-Fi Support. Both the computers are connected to the internet through a single modem.
Both have Windows Vista Installed…
It would be great if someone can guide me a little on how to do the networking… It will be really appreciated!

I did. but didn't found any specifiv article on Desktop PC to Laptop networking...

 

Hard line the desktop and use wifi on the notebook.

What do you need help with?

 

I've already done that. But how to share files??

 

Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections > Setup home or small office network.

 

I'm not that new to networking though. I tried but I don't know how to configure it...

Can someone post step-by-step process? or link me to an article which teaches stuff like that?
