I need some help. I currently have Hughesnet satellite internet, I live very rural, hour south of Dallas. Let's just say Hughesnet is brutal. Problem is I am barely in wireless internet range, for something like Virgin mobile, Sprint, etc. (Need an unlimited mb plan).

I have researched every possibility, I have no other options.

Does anyone have any experience with where to find an intense signal booster. I don't care if it is large, whatever. I am new to this area, but I have to do something to get off hughesnet. Any help would be great

    THANKS!!!

I feel your pain . What you can do is go to your local mobile dealership and ask them to install an extra antenna so you can have full blown signal for mobile broadband . They will ask you to get 20 or more signatures from people that have subscriptions to their network and live in the area .

Once those thing are taken care off you'll enjoy 3.5G or even the fake 4g .

    Thanks!!!

Yah, Hughesnet is killing me. They made some changes in October overnight, since then my internet is weak, in and out all of the time! They claim no changes, yet admit they were down for some upgrades to system. They want me to upgrade to a new modem, pay for it of course, they claim that will do the trick.

Unfortunately we live near 4 other homes. We are very rural. Virgin Mobile has an unlimited plan and claims to work in this area. We have tons of huge tress and are down a hill some so I know I will need something to boost me. May call Best Buy (where I would get the plan) and see what they say.

    Thanks for the reply!
