The title and the content defines the importance of a book. You can't compare bible, quran, bhagwat gita or any other religious scripture to ordinary books or paper.
Shooting a holy book is not shooting a book , some papers in a book. It is shooting ppls who follow the Holy book. Shooting Holy Koran is shooting every muslim . And it is not only done by one bad apple in army.

Muslims have to realize that their "holy book" is only holy to them, not the rest of the world. It's a book with MILLIONS of copies. Do you expect them all to be buried and handled with washed hands? People use religion as an excuse for their intolerance. For some because of their belief in one and for others their lack of belief. The intolerance is the same and is the cause of animosity and conflict not the religion
He was a soldier of a proffesional army, who shot a Koran. That soldier is brainwashed , and he was very dangerouse with his washed brain. Without understanding what muslims believe, what muslims respect, how can that soldier(s) bring peace to Iraq ?

Was it the last known copy or original? Is the writer of the koran so small minded he needs his followers to take revenge? Stupidity when somebody think a holy book is like playboy, maybe for you bible is just papers, but for others their holy books for sure are not the same, it holds the words of God, but, I can understand where are you coming from, if other holy books does not make sense for you, that you hardly can take them seriously, you should not think all people are like you

debunked, abusing Koran is not the first case in US army. it happent I can say from first year of invasion of Iraq ( maybe I am wrong with year).
