I just bought three computers running Windows 7 (Sorry I don't have the specs). Desktop, laptop, and netbook. The netbook is extremely slow, but I think it only has a 1GHz proc. I don't think it's even running a full version of Win 7 on the netbook, but I hated it so much I gave it to a friend. The only problem I had was finding where everything was (still getting used to that). Where did explore go? Where did search go? Took a while to find basic stuff, but so far I like it. No crashes yet (crossing fingers).
That's why I wait for the public to beta test Microsoft crap BEFORE I install it. I have heard good things about 7, but I still don't believe it yet. I think I'll wait longer now. Vista has issues, but I at least know what they are.
I have windows7 on my laptop, 4GB ram, 320GB HD. It's really fast, however i just do not like the functionality of the OS. I honestly Prefer Vista /or XP.
Ive had no issues with mine, I have a Dell Studio with a Core I7 with 8 GB Ram and have no issues or glitches.
Win7 has been good to me. I had no complaints with XP though. Now if I could only get FF to stop dieing on me.
i hate 7 its all like graphics and effects microsoft really let alot of people down plus i have heard a new win8 is coming soon hope it is good
I think there is something in your system that is not compatible with the Windows 7 operating system or maybe there is a virus which you dont know that is running in your system. Better yet to contact a computer and software technical guy to fix your problem about that because all people know how fast Windows 7 is and actually the only thing which is not really good with the Windows 7 OS is that there's a lot of compatibility issues.
Windows is all the same, they more or less work on the same GUI, it's really not hard to change between xp->vista->win7, seeing as they are all pretty much the same on the GUI end of things, which is what your complaining about, xp->win7 may not have too much of a speed increase, but vista>win7 definitly has a huge speed boost.
For windows 7 you need alot of memory ( RAM ) and a good/reliable grahpic card. i already use 2 different win7 on 2 different PC. 1 is for gamers ( win7 ultimate ) , another is for Office ( win7 home premium ). and all i can say it is the best windows OS ever made. especially win7 ultimate, maybe some people dont recognize the different.. but i can feel it when i switch to Home Premium with my another PC.
heh ..... i got macbook pro 13 inch .... i'm installed w7 .... not working with touchpad ! wifi not working normally too , now reinstall m.OS
W7 Ultimate 64x, i7-920, 6GB of RAM, GeForce GTX260, all on EVGA X58 3x SLI = LOVE IT! For people who are thinking about switching over to W7, know that it'll take a day or two for you to get used to it. For me, I migrated from XP Pro, it was a whole new experience and believe me, it took me a good day or two to familiarize myself with the layout. Also, if you are installing W7 or any other OS to Macs, be sure that you have all the drivers compatible and in working order. May Google be your guide ^^
I am using Windows 7 only in both my PC and my Acer TravelMate 5730 laptop. It is much fast that i expected and i love it.
