You're saying Windows 7 slows you down because you don't know how to use it. Once you learn you'll know it's easier than XP. I've been using Vista and Windows 7 for so long it's hard for me to use XP now. It's like someone saying "I've been using MS-DOS for so long but XP is awful because it runs slower on my 100 MHz PC and I don't know how to use it and can't organize my files like I did before."
Windows 7 is better, end of discussions. If your a noon claiming that it's not, then it's your hardware.
I know you cant compare XP with Win 7. But you got to learn how to use it. I had a laptop with Vista .. so migrating wasnt hard. Actually its your own fault. You should have worked your way a lil in vista .. so win 7 should have been easily.
Windows 7 is excellent with boot and shutdown time and working with files, such as loading documents. However XP has excellence on Pro benchmarks for typical office activities and video editing.
If you want XP then you can use Virtual XP Mode in Windows 7 where you can use Windows XP applications.
I jumped from XP to Vista then back to XP. Then i was invited to try Windows 7 BETA. And ever since then i am on Windows 7. XP is faster than Windows 7 but windows 7 handles processes better than XP and feels much smoother. Even if given a chance i will not revert back to XP.
I found windows seven better than XP and vista, it's the best so far... You have to be familiar with it to find it good
lol I can't see why any regular users would dislike Windows 7 its a really nice and friendly operating system and it runs flawlessly for me.
I have windows 7 on 4 gig of ram, 2.6 core2duo SSD hard drive - 51 processes running (with anti virus) it is the fastest OS I have ever worked on and I have tried a lot mac/linux etc, not to mention it looks great
I am still looking at laptops but am pretty convinced that Windows 7 is what I will probably go with so will keep checking back to see what's new on it here...
I read too much reviews on windows 7 before using it, It's cool and sleek! I don't know why you don't like it but most of windows 7 reviews claim that it's nice to work with. I read here a review that list the advantages and disadvantages of windows 7
