On my new notebook I got Windows 7, while on old laptop I switched back from Vista to Windows XP. However even future trend is Windows 7.0, but I still spend more time on old laptop with Windows XP for some reason not known. On my old PC I play around Ubuntu, Mint, OpenSUSE, and Fedora and Windows XP. Personally I LUV Ubuntu for many plus point over others.
I absolutely love windows 7. I will never go back. I had vista before and that was just a slow dragging piece of crap. My computer is so much faster and smoother now.
I might say that windows 7 is a lot better than vista. But it is not as user friendly as xp, especially in OS compatibility with other software
its your fuckup, not windows 7, you did something to make it happen, i installed windows 7 on numerous computers, and windows 7 usually doesn't run more than 10 processes in the background (when idle, i haven't seen 10 even, which is when it starts indexing etc)
I'm using Win 7 for 2 months now, during the first month it works well, but now im encountering problems, i cant run new softwares and also can play my favorite online game. There are lots of compatibility issues that really give me a headache, now im switching back to XP its simpler and comnpatibilty is not an issue.
Windows 7 works fine for me, personally. Although I use Snow Leopard on my iMac and NOTHING trumps it. It's THE best.
Of course, you paid ~$1200 for it. I custom built my PC and it has 4GB RAM with an overclocked 2.4 GHz CPU and it doesn't freeze at all
