Yeah, I've just started using 7 on a new Compaq but our IT guy stripped out all the junk software the manufacturer loaded on and it's pretty fast. I love XP and I'm not in any hurry to upgrade my home PC but 7 hasn't done anything to offend me so far.

I'm using windows 7 for some time, and so far it has been great, much better than vista.

Actually, its new settings made you think about differently, but really windows 7 is a good software. My Computer has 4 gb ram, and really it is working excellent, i can do all the programs fastly than xp. I dont see anywhere 77 proccessors running in background.

just because you are not used to it doesn't mean that it is not good at all. i think for newbies it's more easy to use und much better that... what was the name again... asta la vista :-D...
but i agree with you it take a while to get along.

I'm running Windows 7 on both my desktop and laptop for a long time now. I'd say it's the best windows OS rite now. :)

I am using W7 and it r7uns perfectly. Sure there are some non compatible applications like IDM but overall the speed and sleek design makes up for it.

I agree.. we got 3 units running with Windows 7 right now and they all work very fine. Any new user of W7 will have some time to get used to the beefed up settings and system design. So yeah, it's a matter of time really.

I think Windows 7 is actually the ultimate windows.

    Looks good.
    Works perfectly.

I have it installed in the office, at home, and on my labtop. :)

Loved XP for years, then bought a high spev laptop with Vista and a load of bloatware fromt he manufacturer.... and it ran like a one-legged spider :( Luckily I got the Windows 7 upgrade and did a fresh clean install. My machine now runs like a 12 legged spider, sweeeeet!!! Is Windows 7 better than XP? Well it's certainly better looking but probs not faster . . .

My son upgrade to Win7 from Vista about 3 weeks ago. Last night, his one-year old 750Gb drive crashed and wouldn't boot up. Since then, he's been able to get it to randomly boot up and run for about 30 minutes. Has anyone heard of Win7 causing such issues?

I m not able to install win7 bcoz of low hard disk space.

but according to my friends views, win7 is good compare to vista. and good graphics than xp.
