It think xp is more stable. However I would like to use Windows 7 since it is receiving good reviews from people that are using it. Very less complaints compared to all their latest releases including Vista.

If you have good RAM, then install W7, otherwise, stay put with XP

Xp was good for a while but the pure fact that it can perform good with multiprocessors and can only handle 4Gb RAM that just gets it.
Windows 7 is the new XP :p

All of them have individually better things, but I like Windows XP the most for its simplicity.

When it comes to OS, I have a hard time letting go of the old ones, especially if the new one isn't worth it. Thus I used XP for a long long time :) since its release till recently. Never tried Vista never will! Windows 7 came out I gave it a try, and even on my ancient PC (Socket A Sempron with an AGP Radeon X1550 and the old DDR333) 7 outperforms the old XP. So I loved it and stuck with it.

The only down side for people with old systems like mine is that occasionally u see a BSOD cause by malfunctioning drivers or something related to the hardware. Anyways 7 is the way to go once they stop supporting XP.

I got to give it to Win 7. Upgraded from Vista to Win 7 and definitely noticed the difference in speed. But that all depends on your computer's hardware. If it's an old computer, don't even bother with the upgrade, just buy a new computer.

I have used them all over the years and also a lot of flavours of Linux, some Macs, Win2000 and 98 and 95 and NT and even DOS. All I can say is that Windows 7 is by far the best as I am concerned for reasons that I have stated in other posts.

XP is the best of course. Vista - a failure and win 7 just better than vista.
