I think that every system has his + and - But i think ans many others in term of new technologies, style and optimization I can say that Windows 7 may be the best as it contain a lot of new features, I read a common review of windows 7 here.
I've hat xp, vista and windows 7 and I'm an absolute fanatic about windows 7. It's much faster, more stable, and is dare I say... an actual improvement over their worthless vista and even still better than xp. It's not all just glossy good looking flair.
I think Windows XP is the best, I love it , no matter how many new versions come i will prefer Windows Xp, It is actually meant as Windows Xtreme Programming , so Xp is the best according to me.
I'd stick with XP because I'm much more used to it and I don't need the fancy design stuff... But in the future when Microsoft stop releasing updates for XP everybody will change to 7
Actually it depend upon what system you have, if you have pc of low spec then xp is perfect but if your system is of high spec then Windows 7 is best. I love both and love to use them. Please skip vista, it always sucks on my pc.
I was an XP user since the day it was launched but last year when I got a chance to try Windows 7 Beta i have never looked back. I have 2 laptops which came pre installed with Vista. I reverted back to XP (after a lot of hassle with drivers). And now i purchased Windows 7 for both of them.
XP is faster and doesn't use much resources. Vista is Crap 7 is stable but use much recourse and Ram, lots of Crap Services & programs which i don't want in my PC. 16GB Installation size
Only use Vista or Windows 7 if you have 2GB RAM or more. 4GB RAM or more is best for 64-bit versions. I'd skip Vista and get Win7. XP is nearly a relic, but is fine for older systems.
According to my pc configuration XP is the best. Well I used windows 7 and vista but I think microsoft has 2 best operating systems - Windows XP and Windows 98
Windows 7 ultimate on my PC only has an installation size of 11Gb, which in terms of 2Tb hard drives now available for almost dirt cheap, this is very small. It only uses about 1Gb of RAM which is not all that much (if you have 4Gbs of RAM, how often would an app really take the other 3Gb? even gaming doesn't require that much). As for programs I've found Windows 7 to be fairly lightweight in terms of what gets installed by default (MSN is not installed, Windows Mail not installed, etc...) All things considered, XP would be better on an older system, but it's slowly becoming outdated and at the price of hardware nowadays it's not expensive to upgrade at all.
