Vista is basically XP with Microsoft clones of a bunch of third-party add-ons, minus a lot of driver and program compatibility. It's like your old best friend with an embarrassing and expensive new haircut. Yawn. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,308301,00.html
Seeing Vista is not the problem Make it work with all your softwares and hardwares environment is another thing
The main reason i switched to vista was not because of the new features, but because of new security features built-in to Vista. It comes with a free spyware blocker and firewall, and a free anti-virus will finish the job. Also, believe it or not, Vista has tons of device support. If your drivers don't work on Vista, its the driver company's fault, they knew Vista was coming for what..5 years?
vistas graphic user interface is awesome (it looks sweet) XP is better for functionality and uses a lot less ram. I use XP.
I'm still going strong with XP on my desktop, but my laptop runs vista. Personally, Vista is just eyecandy to me, although I love how it looks, you're correct, it's just a friend with an embarrassing and exspensive new haircut.
I feel the same way about vista as i felt about xp when that was new... Vista nice new interface etc but not working great with some software. Vista will be king eventually.
Never going to get Vista. XP works well for me, I hear that Microsoft is already working on the replacement for Vista. It is all just a scam to make money.
XP is the best, Security is still being applied for about 6 or so more months. Vista takes up too many resources, driver issues, minimal software upgrades.
untrue. My laptop has Vista vs my desktop having XP still. Vista annoys me with it's permissions and how it can't run some of my applications yet. The only thing I really find good about it is it's ram & cpu management vs xp.
