Hmmmm... that's strange... my Microsoft Update hasn't come up with anything new...

It won't come up on automatic update for another month or two.

Maybe something on your PC is incompatible with SP3. The same thing happens with SP1 for Vista.

So far so good. I'm glad we don't have to download dozens of updates after installing Windows.

Has anyone here suffered the reboot loop? I don't use XP but I am interested to see how widespread the problem is.

    Go to Microsoft Update.
After installing, my PC seems to be going a lot faster.

Of course, as any new installation!
Microsoft says that there won't be performance increases in SP3, just patches.

Here is an article about slipstreaming.
    Enjoy! ;)

Nah, I sussed it... I uninstalled Internet Explorer 8.

ADVICE / NOTE TO ALL: You cannot pick up Service Pack 3 if you have Internet Explorer 8 (Beta or whatever) on your computer... you need to use Intenet Explorer 7 or less. :D

Uninstalling IE8 back to IE7 is nice and easy and everything works exactly the same with no problems. Same with going from IE7 back to IE6. :)
