    I prefer Vista as well, as i believe in change and adapting new technology, rather than sticking with those earlier version which are stable. Waiting for windows 7 now to be released.

    I am surprised by the ratio of the amount of People who like Windows XP more then Windows Vista, You can barely play any cracked games on Windows Vista
    as i usually always get an error message, I also can't play 18 WoS! (Game)

    Windows 7 is similar to XP in the way things run, for example it's not bundled with useless features, it's fast and just works. I think Vista was kinda rushed and too many ideas went into it...

    I really like XP better.. Would not go for anything else, unless i had like 16gb ram. In which i dont :D

    After using windows 7 RC i don't see any reason going back to use Windows Vista (I was using Vista Ultimate SP2) :rolleyes: Windows 7 is better than both XP and Vista. but i still like simplicity of Windows XP (My Compuer/Menus/) MS should avoid fancy graphic :rolleyes:

    Vista is a very slow os, you need min. 2Gb memory in order to have a decent speed, plus various limitations like admin permissions .. i vote xp !!

    Voted for Vista simply because it is XP + more, Yes it is graphically intense and thus requires a higher end system, but MS is attempting to compete with Apple's os; yes it is buggy but that is true of anything MS related. Also cracked software is likely more difficult to install; do not expect this to change. Piracy costs the industry hundreds of millions or billions. Expect the constant cat and mouse game of hacker vs. paying. Yes software is expensive, but that is largely because such a large number of people use it for free and the people paying foot the bill for those that don't. If everyone simply paid for the programs, prices would likely drop. If they don't at that point than shame on the companies, but thanks to open source prices must stay competitive. Anyways, I divert, but for all we know 10 years from now an OS will become a mere backgrond application if Google has it their way.

    as a web developer i really prefer XP.

    On Vista is very hard to make apache (web server) works, lol

    + very hard to do port debugging,etc
