I haven't tried Vista yet but at the moment I use XP. I have seen screenshots and Vista looks similar to XP and I was looking for something totally unique from Vista. I voted 'No' because it is known to have security bugs. I don't plan upgrading to Vista yet because it requires a lot of RAM and computer resources to run.
i said no bcoz as we know vista require some special hardwares whihc is not available to every one in the worls or that xp is better.
XP and Vista are both good in their places. While XP is much faster than vista is much more secure than XP.Vista also features new graphics envirement known as Athlon and a completely newly written networking architechture.
I don't think that Vista is better than XP, first of all, Vista takes too much resources from your computer, second, not all applications can run on Vista (at this time).
Its not only the cost but also the services we get from XP. XP is really unparalle mate. Many of us would have tried Vista (even if it is costly), if it worked much better than the XP's. But the case is not so. Xp is the best and i don think any other operating system will come closer to XP in coming 5 yrs or so
vista has some handy new features, especially like the aero interface. its a big of a memory hog though and the lack of drivers for some things currently are the only real downfalls i find
XP is the better on for now, until Microsoft gets out the small problems with Vista. I am a gamer, thus Vista does not allow me total flexibility.
I haven't used Vista in details, just a go through its interface. My initial impression is that the interface is harder to use than that of XP.
vista is better, I thought it would eat my cpu and ram ressources untill bluescreen but actually, it behaves better than xp
My vote is for Windows XP. But given a chance - I will vote for Windows 98 - Safe and simple. Regards Rajesh
I don't suggest upgrading your computer to Vista. I do recommending buying a Vista computer. A computer that meets requirements runs Vista smoother than XP. It is a more efficient OS and is very secure (more so than OSX some say). I have not run into any program incompatibilities that can't be fixed when run in compatibility mode. It is too expensive to buy the software IMO, I would just go with it preinstalled. These are my comp's stats that runs Vista smoothly: AMD64 3200+ (2.0 GHz) 1 Gig RAM 200 GB 5400rpm HDD Nvidia 6600+ 256MB graphics card
I think the problem many people have with it not running smoothly are their graphic cards. it has been stated that the aero interface heavily relies on the gpu and therefore reduces processor and system load a lot as long as the gpu is capable.
I was to understand that vista is just like xp on heroin . But i would say vista so that you can play halo 2!
