Microsoft just extended the life of Windows XP by 5 months. Instead on ending shipment of Windows XP by January it will extended to the end of June. I don't think Microsoft gets it that because you put lip stick on a hog it is still a hog.

Now XP also gone out of service... :(

Why are you still approaching Microsoft?
Go for open source platform. They are cheaper and secured and powerful.. :)

I started to switch to Linux because of this Vista slow thing. Even that I have a powerful PC (E6600 with 2GB RAM). Linux Ubuntu 7.04 is much faster and can do anything and more safe.

Just today I installed VirtualBox 1.5 to run a plain XP installation because as a Web Developer I must work on Photoshop CS3 and Dreamweaver CS3. All is running fine and fast.

Looking forward to upgrade to 7.10 in 15 days :)

People should definitely switch to Linux. Microsoft Vista is to much of a resource hog. I can't believe Microsoft would think that just because they made a new OS people would go buy a new computer just to make them rich.

Glad that Microsoft listened to their customers. I will eventually upgrade to Vista but for now, I see no reason switching from XP.

Does Microsoft even have a clue on what people want any more. Can't sell Vista, can't get people to use MSN.
