    Does anyone have Home Basic? What things does it include? (just curious, in terms of programs like Windows Defender, Movie Maker, etc.)

    home basic doesn't have aero interface think it has most of the other features though ?

    I don;t think he didn't.

    anyway, im still using windowsXP because of my development enviroment is set up for winXP. I would need to test all my IDE's tools and software to make sure if works before i use winVista. If it does i'll be using winVista but since i dont have time to test everything im sticking with winXP for the time being.

    A gig of memory to install it. Please, that is when you know your software is bloated. We all know how much Microsoft likes there software bloated.

    Linux ppl, linux .. y don't I see any marketers ever talking about linux. Its not all that complicated as one assumes it to be.

    i use vista and so far its ok just a few issues i was supplied the ugrade disc to overwrite xp from dell easy easy easy but the program compatability aint great

    I just bought a new HP laptop with 1.6 dual core processor and 512 MB RAM and 120 GB Hard disk.. It came with Genuine preloaded Vista Home Basic..
    Yes, It takes a lot more time then XP to Start and shutdown the PC..

    Also never heard how Vista is - Can somebody guide me
    "should i keep it" or " switch to XP " ?
