In my opinion is that windows 7. That should be obviously, because if it wasn't better, why did Microsoft developed it after Vista
Here are three of windows top OSes and their functionality. Windows XP - Written in C++. Currently, it is STILL the fastest OS. If you want max speed and least resources taken this is the OS for you. HOWEVER, it has many security issues. Windows Vista - Written in C#. This is the slowest, buggiest, and most resource hogging OS. There is absolutely no need to use this. Windows 7 - Written in C#. This is a much faster and resource friendly version. Not as fast as XP but all the other features it has makes it the best choice for many people.
Well, the time ago, Windows Vista was of course popular. And now, Windows 7 is liked by many of the people. Why not use Win 7 as it's the child-window of Windows Vista.
Windows 7 is similar to Vista except.......It's better. More stable, looks better, doesn't prompt you on literally everything. Not even close, really.
I was one of the few that seemed to have very little issues with Vista and thought it to be more stable than XP...but that was just me. Kept up with the latest drivers, etc. But now that I have switched to Win 7...it is better and faster no brainer on that...just remember to update everything regularly and ccleaner to clear tmp caches often.
Better upgrade your computer. Win 7 is probably the most successful operating system from Microsoft. But on a bad computer unlikely you will enjoy it.
Windows 7 is better than vista, with lot of upgraded feature, also the visuals are better on windows 7. and yah it will run decently with 512 ram.
Windows 7 is just an 'ironed out' version of Windows Vista. By 'ironed out' - i mean it is just a fixed edition of Vista, and has a few new tweaks/features on the side of it.
Windows 7 is obviously better. I personally have Vista, so I don't have much first hand experience of 7, but I've heard it's the best OS since XP. I've had several BSODs on my Vista, I never had that in my XP. When you play games you usually need 1GB extra RAM if you have Vista. I'd like to have 7, but it's not worth the $100 it costs.
Windows 7 at first seems to be a downgrade of Windows Vista, but I have thenceforth seen that Windows 7 is more than just something pretty given to the masses. It is probably the most economical from a computer scientist's point of view, with all the condensed formatting, while still appealing to the non-internet savvy people that must compose 99% of most computer customers.
