There is no "killer feature", in my opinion, that makes Windows 7 a must-have upgrade. If you're using Vista and like it, you can save some money by staying with what you have. Just keep in mind that Microsoft stops supporting it in April 2012, and upgrade before then, and you'll be fine. Windows 7 has a host of improvements that make it faster and easier to use than Vista; I think Windows 7 improves productivity with its desktop improvements, better power management, faster start up and shutdown, etc. But if I had to watch every penny and upgrading to Windows 7 would be a splurge, I probably wouldn't do it. Vista will do most everything Windows 7 will do. I hope that provides some clarification for y'all.
I bought my HP laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium installed, 6 month later I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit. Reason : Vista slow
Vista is just crap to be quite honest , full of bugs etc , Vista was rushed through because microsoft ran out of time , so then went back to the drawing board and came up with windows 7 which is what vista was supposed to be. Windows 7 is just so much better than vista , and it accepts DDR3 and DX11
Spyware is a category of malware which usually sneaks into the affected computers without users’ consciousness. Spyware can collect personal information, track the Internet activity, or steal usernames and passwords, credit card numbers for its malicious purpose. Once installed, spyware also interrupts computer users by displaying annoying ads, installing additional software, redirecting Web browser activity, and even make your computer totally crashed.
I have windows vista and it has some serious problems, I've talked to people with 7 and some problems are fixed, but Windows will always have some serious issues.
I have both. Vista is slower and seems to wear hard drives out really fast (have had 3 hd failures in machines running vista, 0 in machines running win7). Win 7 seems to be cleaner, faster and much more reliable. Chris
The truth is every time Microsoft or any software company releases a new version - They learn from the past and are generally creating a better product. 7 has better capabilities and features for use in todays marketplace with all other products we use on a daily basis. To say any previous version is better is kind of odd. It may have something discontinued in the new version, that a select few enjoy - but then again it was discontinued for a reason. We evolve with our computers right?
Out of the two, I'd choose Windows 7 any day. Vista is just annoying and complicated, but out of all Windows systems, I use Windows XP and I think it's the best.
