You must be exagerating. I have my problems with ie7 but not that bad. Were you running a very unpatched or pre-WXP version of Windows?

it's very patched XP, but i tend to exaggerate and exacerbate for effect :p

lol. I give Vista 2 months max till someone gets through. Mind you that the 360 was supposed to be unhackable and Sony tried to make the PSP unhackable. Nothing is ever going to be safe/foolproof.

Meh, you guys whine way too much.

When MS releases Vista, I'll end up buying it after a couple weeks, because I think it's worth it. It seems that many of you simply hate windows because you hate how much money Bill has made from windows.

that's just as much an over generalization as much of my bashing is :D .

All I'm saying is I think it could be at least 27% better based on the bankroll of Bill & Co.

Been there done that before. I'm willing to bet you're just overheating.
Are you OCing at all? If it's not heat, then my second guess would be your RAM.
Also are you a gamer, and are you OCing your VC?

Regardless, It cant get any worse than what I just went through this past month. 2 lightning strikes taking out my development environment, with a 3rd just barely missing again, but getting the street right across from me, melting and blowing up TV's, (i kid you not). Oh what a hell of a month it was.

ouch, lightning is bad news for sure!! blowing up TV's - holy crap.
I've heard of phones catching fire too :(

No gaming or OC'ing - in fact I'm under clocking!

FSB should be able to run 200MHz - AMD 3200+ but as it is I can only go 186 before you know what shuts me off. I've tried at least 7 different memmory mfgs too.

but then the final version won't be light years beyond the beta(different) will it?

I'm not trying to be a DUH, just asking.

maybe the friend didn't like the layouts and all that new look stuff.

    maybe the breadcrumbs got stale

poor choice of words - layout meaning new features not desktop layout per say

quite alright on the duh - fun to see the passion infused into it - creates a mini-buzz :p

well i quite agree it does come in handy for something, if i use a pirated unpatched copy of microsucks and they cutoff the internet after a hour it means i will actualy go to sleep at night :)
