I use Windows Vista - It is difficult to work out how to do some things to begin with, but I find it very user friendly now...
Maybe you should wait a little bit since most of drivers doesn't work well with it. I have a laptop and i msut use some old drivers to use Vista SP1.
Even Microsoft says that SP1 will not be available on Windows Update if they found incompatible drivers.
