Hy all, I see that the Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is out now but I just wondered if anyone knew what the main updates are in it?

well I have installed vista SP1, and I am feeling much improvement. This will certainly boost vista sale.
Some software/hardware has problems with Windows Vista SP1. Check the compatibility list before you upgrade!
does it matter if we update using windows update tool or download stand alone product? Because my windows update says it is downloading 66 mb of update but standalone is 435 mb? Why there is that much big difference?
It's definately improved my copying and pasting time, almost XP like speeds in that regard. Still takes forever to decompress a zip file using vista's built in zipping feature. On a bad note, I've had 2 crashes in the last 2 days during startup. Never had that without SP1 and my hardware is not on the incompatibility list.
What apps were you running at the time of the crash? My FF always crash whenever I try to download files off the Internet... bummer...
I have installed and I see a great improvement in Performance. Copy/Paste speed now same as XP. I had some lags at startup, but with SP1 they are all gone now. The SP1 will sure boost Vista sales.

SP1 is great, but I have been enjoying vista ever since RC3. I have only had a few minor issues with it...well that and getting used to the user account protection stuff.
