I have Windows Vista Home Premium which cames installed on my Dell Desktop.

When I log into my profile, nothing loads. I get a black screen. I can do ctrl-alt-del and get to the task manager, shut down, etc. etc. , but nothing loads on my machine. No programs, no background, etc.. nothing

Any ideas what the problem is there??

Same thing happens when I log into my other profile. The screen is black. The screensaver loads after a short while, but nothing else. the screen stays black and nothing else is ever displayed.

    Any ideas, please??

    Thanks

i guess that may be this is your operating systems problem so you need to install the windows Vista again otherwise the problem comes from hardware

yes it must surely be the OS. Maybe it isn't installed correctly, if it came with a CD Try reinstalling.
