I have a few questions for the Mac users out there... It's time for me to upgrade again and after seeing the 24" iMac at the store here I'm really considering making the switch from MS to Apple for my main machine. I've had an OS X machine before and I liked it a lot, but it was before I was heavy into programming and designing. My main coding language is PHP.

    Why did you switch?

What software is a must have that's Mac only?

..and anything else that you can think of that might help me make a choice. (For the record, I would just be building my own windows box if I went that route)

thanks for your feedback in advance!

Any recommendations on a card? I'm not a hard core gamer, so it doesn't have to be great in that respect. I currently have a cheapie ASUS Geforce 6200 card and I'm fine with how it handles WoW right now. If I went with a Windows box I'm planning on going with a fanless ASUS Geforce 7200GT.

The more I think about it the more Windows makes sense for me, especially if I want to start working with ASP. Maybe I'll just get a 24" LCD to make up the difference :D

I just a new Windows box 2 days ago and havn't bought a card yet as I'm waiting for a good ATI DirectX 10 card. My other puter with Windows box has a ATI Radeon X1800 and graphics apps run like a charm.
