Windows or Linux on your server?

    As much as I want to say I run FREBSD .. I am a fedora core guy.. "Mac" made a great choice with the use of BSD... It should be the standard ..in the unix flav..but Linux took off big time.

    I don't own any server, but my friends do, and mostly they use gentoo , or ubuntu :D

    I have been involved with both (l)unix and windows servers for the last 15 years and always go for (l)unix servers where possible. They are cleaner, less bloated more reliable (my main concern) and used to be faster (but not anymore) + from an admin perspective I prefer a (l)unix commandline to a Windows interface.
