    Hello,

I plan to buy a netbook. But i am not sure what netbook to choose. A netbook with windows 7 or an apple netbook?

I will work mostly on the internet, email, ftp etc. I am sure both netbooks offer me those features. Any idea?

I didn't know Apple made a netbook. Link pls?
If Apple made (or makes) a sub $1000 (AUD) netbook, I'd almost be interested in buying one.

Ok my mistake. I wanted to say the 13-inch laptop of apple...

I just want the laptop to be no more than 13-inch...

:) If you specifically want a netbook (something tiny and ultra portable), then forget about anything over 10 inches.

I've got an oldish EeePC 901 (9 inch screen), and it has totally converted me. I'll never buy anything over 9/10 inches again. Even if the keyboard is annoying small, I absolutely love the fact that I can carry my 901 in my bag (+power adapter) without even knowing it's there. I can't imagine carrying a full size (or even smaller/Portege size) laptop ever again.

I agree with you. If i was to buy a netbook with windows, i would buy it with max 10 inches screen. At the moment i have a hp with 8,1 inches and i am satisfied. 1-2 inches more is not a big thing.
Most probably i will get a windows netbook.

Linux works luvely on (most) netbooks btw.
My 901 has XP on the SSD, and EasyPeasy (Ubuntu) on a bootable SD card. It's not blisteringly fast, but I only really use it for email/forums/surfing, so it's no big deal.

I can't say enough good things about the EeePC.
Have a look at the EeeUser forum, there's plenty of good stuff going on there:

Why would you even remotely consider an Apple product? Why pay more for less? Macs freeze all the time, you can't get nothing done with them, they are slow and lacking in all regards. But they cost more.
