Windows Live Messenger - Unable to Sign In

    My WLM was working fine, but for past few weeks, I started getting 'The new vesrion is available' message, and when I download it, it gives another error message :(

    I reinstalled, but no use ... I am back to MSN msgr 7.0, but it doesnt have offline message facility.

    Anyone knows how to fix the above WLM sign in issue :confused:

    May be there are server problems with the new version .

    I'm pretty sure I had this problem a few months ago which is what encouraged me to write a blog post about it. Anyway as I mentioned in the post, that error message should go away once you perform a Windows Update.

    Maybe your firewall is blocking it from installing the software.. check it out.
    I also had the same problem a few months ago, I downloaded the latest version
    of WLM directly and installed it.
