Windows Live - getting hits from unrelated search terms ?

    Hi,

In the past couple months, I've noticed my site is getting some hits from "Windows Live" on search terms that have nothing to do with my site. "Nexium." "Nude." "Omega." "Viagra." These words aren't found in my site at all. It's not a huge amount just every now and then. The rest of the search engines bring in related terms. I just wondered what causes this and if it is cause for concern.

Dont worry, but I would check you meta tags, as if your website has been unknowingly hacked or you have added some php code script this could have helped these terms arousing.

Am wondering the same thing myself.

I just noticed some hits to my site for unrelated terms such as, "omega, poker, mazda, and ticket". I checked the pages, code, forum, comments and those terms are not anywhere to be found. There are also no signs of any hacks or strange code.

The referer links look like this:

    search.live.com/result.aspx?q=omega&mrt=en-us&FORM=LVSP
    search.live.com/result.aspx?q=ticket&mrt=en-us&FORM=LVSP

The only connection my site has with LIVE is I have been seeing one of their ads from maps.live.com displayed via Adsense.

Guess some free traffic won't hurt any.

I bet the resellers of Nexium and all that wish they had this luck!

I checked my site and don't see anything, thank you for answering PS.

"Guess some free traffic won't hurt any."

You can get traffic from keywords coming from sites linking to you.
