    I keep getting:

Everytime I'm browsing my .AVI files, I have had this problem before and Malware, Spyware programs or a re-install of DivX usually fixes this problem. However I cannot seem to fit it this time and it's doing my head in.

I have looked all over Google, useless. Can anyone help me please?

    Thanks,
    BlueEew.

ok. it could be your 3rd party codec you installed, which im very positive you have. what you need to do is find that codec and remove it. and using vlc play your movies and you'll be fine. otherwise you can search for "xvid.ax" everywhere in your computer, if you find it, delete it and you shd be fine. that's 2 solutions, if none works. let me know ;)

It seemed to happen everytime I went on a AVI file that didn't show a preview picture, so I diabled previews and it no longer crashes on them now. I shall look for xvid.ax and remove it. :)

I had your problem fro 3gp files. Coz I enabled thumbnail in 3gp files. I simply uninstalled codecpack and it solved.
