I get this message that randomly appears every like ten minutes on my computer and it turns my computer off and back on it says something along the lines of There has been a problem detected in windows and it needs to shut down, dumping all pysical memory. The screen goes fast so i dont get to read the hole thing but does anyone know a good explination to why this is happening?

Check to see if you have the Sasser worm on your computer.

One of it's functions is to reboot your computer ever 10 minutes or so.

Symantec's site will have a free checker you can download

Install Service Pack 1 or 2, and an antivirus (check out norton internet security it has 60 day trail on their site)! This will remove the security hole that alows shuting out your pc. Good Luck

I recomend running lavasofts adware software, and then run e-wido software, and then an antivirus scan. If the problem persists repeat these steps in safe mode.

use this when your comp goes in auto shutdown,

Go to Run, and enter, shutdown -a

This will stop the reboot. And disable rpc on you call and check

Use an premium antivirus first, and after use some registry repair tools, it should be just ok.I do not think it's something hardware.

It could also be a bad memory module but it sounds more like a virus. switch out the RAM with another computer's RAM to do a quick check. If that doesn't work, follow the suggestions of the previous posts.

One more suggestion is that it can be a browser attached virus, you can use hijackthis to find and remove it, but proceed with caution as you can delete something you might not want to.
