Buying Windows Dedicated Server

Hey, I need a Windows Dedicated Server, or even a Windows VPS (preferably on Windows 2008) in a couple of months capable of hosting a game server. My budget is $50 a month. I need the best specifications as possible, especially RAM. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks, Ryan.

It will be easier to recommend you anything if you tell us your hard drive and bandwidth requirements.

Thanks for your replies so far. WebIntellects - Rob, I want to see what I get offered for my budget, not for specific requirements.

Your going to need to double that amount at the very least.

No way you're going to get any sort of decent dedicated server for $50/mo., especially not with Windows. There should be plenty of VPSs in that price range.

Would be great if you list all requirements in order to provide better suggestion. :)

If you don't care about hard drive space and bandwidth that much you should be able to get one for $15 to $20 a month easily. It all depends on how CPU intensive your gaming server is.

Hey, the game server will demand a large amount of RAM and CPU, so I just need as much as possible. Diskspace and bandwidth wise, I just need a basic package.

That's where a lot of the cost is, that and the Windows License. You're budget still needs to be increased. Lowering bandwidth and drive space is not going to make a dent in the costs associated with the software license... ;)

I'm afraid that $50 a month is my maximum budget for a Windows dedicated/virtual server.
