Hi i am fairly new here, nice forum.

I have been programming a terrain/level editor, problem is i can't really justify charging for it, it's not buggy but compared to other terrain editors already out there it would take me a lot longer to get enough features into it to justify charging. Time being something i don't have a lot of, made me think about other applications i have seen using advertising as a method of funding...

If i did do this, in the user agreement, it could state that this product is paid for by advertising etc etc... it's possible to make a web browser pop under the application, so not to annoy the user to much and make a little bit of dollar. It could also pop under every so many minutes but with other cpm companies as i understand that it's rare to get a 100% show from 1 company but if it rotated to other companies it would give a 100% show all the time.

Has anyone done this before or got any advice? Is it illegal to make a web browser pop under and for ads?
