Windows and Linux which is better

I use Windows to earn a living since I do programming and sell Windows programs. I do experiment on Ubuntu over the weekend just for the fun of it but I would doubt that I would ever make money for Linux since applications are pretty much free most of the time.

Windows has a lot more programs and they are easier to install. From my experience, if you use Linux and all the associated installed program, it is great but if you need anything more it can be a pain to install.

 

Windows. if you want sleepless nights then go for linux. i experienced. half of the time you spend for installing drivers and updates

 

Yeah, me too. Being a linux admin is quite frustrating

 

I've been using Windows so I'll stick with that. Is basically easy to use.

As windows have many software and application we all preffer windows and we know how to use it

 

I vote for Windows and Windows XP as an operation system. .

 

Linux is better. i think its going to over take windows one day and the world of computing will never be the same again.
Open is the way to go.

 

Both are best in there place
for home use WINDOWS and for SERVER needs Linux

Linux is for geeks. Windows for the normal user.

 

I like both. But, may be for the future Linux is as userfriendly as Windows.

I like windows, Because it is easy to use. And we are using it since 5-6 years.

 

I have ubuntu and xp installed on my desktop.

Ubuntu is much faster. In many ways it's even easier to use.

The only problem is that everything is programmed for windows, so sometimes it can be a pain to get things to work on ubuntu.

 

There is more application software available for Windows and Best for Gaming and for almost anything.
Then again, there may be sufficient Linux software for your needs.
Both Windows and Linux come in many flavors. All the flavors of Windows come from Microsoft; the various distributions of Linux come from different companies.
* Which is better it's up to you.

 

HAHA yeah a lot of designers love Macs. I am one of them But I use Windows until I can get myself a Mac.

I heard that Linux has no viruses? I don't know if that's true..
