Windows is also developing its Application store for windows 8. I think it will be god point for mobile market.
Just wait for Service Pack 1, reason that it is so cheap is because they get now other income streams like selling apps and cloud service, just like Apple does for years ;-)
It's quite good but it will take some time to be used to the new Start Center i think it's really worth it.
haven't used it yet... But i'm going to buy one..... God knows when.... i'm stuck with XP as i didn't like 7... Win 8.. looking forward for it...
I've not tried it yet. I've kept the order for Windows 8 (multiple license) Original Disk. As soon as I get it, I would try it on my laptop and desktop computers.
The real difference between Windows 8 and previous versions is that this one is finished; it's polished and smooth, with even better performance than in the previews, and none of the rough edges left. i have win8 since september and i must say that i like it very much not only due to its design but the working speed)
