I find it hard to believe that Microsoft is already planning to bring out a newer OS, even before they've released the service pack for Windows 7! They still haven't milked enough money from 7 to bring out 8 just now. This news hasn't been confirmed from Microsoft yet so I guess they're all rumours and nothing more. It'll be at least another year before Microsoft gets bored with 7 and decides to bring their secret project "Windows 8" for the public to see. Until then it'll be in silent development.

Windows 7 was pretty much an updated Vista, so it's only fitting that 8 will be similar to 7.

I find Windows 7 to be more like Windows Vista Business Lite. If Vista SP2 is no problem for you like it is with me, I've found too many problems with 7. Doubt SP1 will do much with what I want out of it. Actually Microsoft support was very interested why I liked Vista over 7. Even though mines thru Dell I complained about a windows update that corrupted my OS. Almost willing to give me 7 but I said no. So that peaked their interest. Sure it's more flashy, but it still has the same driver issue's as Vista. And crashes more than my Vista. There's two in the house. Ones Home, and the other is Ultimate. Home crashes more, but Ultimate is a bit better. actually Ultimate 64 bit. Windows 7 is more geared for those with a touch screen and a 64 bit CPU. If you have neither, stay with Vista. Hoping Windows 8 is better. Only place I've read about Windows 8 is on neowin net
