In all honesty, I'm not all that excited for Windows 8. Why? Because Windows 7 has everything I need and carries everything I was looking for. Sure there's plenty they can add, but that was where Vista went wrong. People like simplicity.

I hope they will make it faster and less clumsy. (Like what they did with Vista). Then it would be a strong MAC OS X competitor.

There is some mention here of windows 8, still it feels like another rush OS from MS, like vista, if true.... Still prefer XP, more complete!

I don't think Windows 8 will be there in near future, somewhere after 3-4 years that's what i expect.

Call me a stick in the mud but XP does everything for me so why should I got to the trouble of buying another OS, installing it, transferring files, installing programs and trying to get that OS installation exactly like I have my OS now?

Well. agree that XP does everything and i had the same comments when i was on XP... then i read alot of comments about win7 and thought lets install and test this another crappy window like vista. i was sure that i'm going to waste my time by moving all stuff, installing windows again and after a day i have to come back on XP.. but i'm really glad, i did make that decision to test win7, because i really like it and in my opinion its alot better than XP.

Well, I heard that Windows 7 SP1 Beta is available for the users.
The ones using Win 7 can update their OS.

I hope it's not something they just released to make quick money like they did with Vista, Vista was a huge fail.

    Hello,

Windows 8 i think it will launch in 2012 and i hope it will have more better features than windows 7 and also have high performance and tight security.

I love windows 7, windows 8 seems a bit fast doesn't it? considering how new windows 7 still is, took them long enough to iron out bugs on 7, 8 will just cause more.
I hope it's good though, when it finally comes out, I would say 2012, 2011 seems too early.

I hope in windows 8 they use Aero in EVERYTHING! Wouldn't it be cool if everything had a transparent look to it? I think so.

I'm a Mac user just because IMOP it's the easier to use better functioning OS but I do like what MS did with 7 and I enjoy using it but not as much as my mac lol but yea windows 8 with Aero everywhere and a redesigned UI in the start menu and the CP would be cool!
