Still Windows 7 is the official release of the operating systems series and Windows 8 is in beta mode. It may be good after some time and Windows 7 still provide you what you need from a Computer.

If it is necessary for you, that the operating system on the computer was most focused on touchscreen uses, it is possible to deliver to windows8. It is also possible to put it if you like to experiment new operating systems, acting as a beta tester. In all other cases it is better to remain on windows7.

Both are just almost the same. Just choose either of the two.

Microsoft have had and probably always will have a tradition of releasing a really bad OS for every really great OS they produce. Windows 7 is one of their best so far in the means of managing recourses and network which means that windows 8 should be a not so awesome OS as 7!

Windows 8 is still in beta mode. Therefore, Windows 7 makes more stable than 8. But we can see the changes in near future.

Well, a new start-up mechanism which combines cold boot with resuming from hibernate, Windows 8 delivers unmatched speed, drastically reducing the time it takes toreach Metro-ready or desktop-ready.

I did not test windows 8 yet. I was pretty satisfied with what windows 7 had to offer mainly because it did it's job really nice on my old laptop. Maybe when they'll surpass the Beta version i'll try it.

im still with xp on my 2007(mostly for the games) rig i build, my laptop is win 7 though. Im too lazy to try another upgrade honestly. win 7 was like yesterday and at the prices I personally don't find it worth it anymore. Great os's! but so good that Iim satisfied for now.

For now I still go with Windows 7 as we all know that Windows 8 was designed for touch screen pc's. So if you don't have any, then stick with Windows 7.

Both are pretty similar, for now I'd go with windows 7 as 8 is intended for 'touch screen' computers.
