Windows 98? Good Windows ME? Junk Windows XP? Good Windows Vista? Junk (Although it's not terrible now.) Windows 7? Good Windows 8? See a pattern?
Windows 8 will have a lot of new features for Tablets, like touchpad support. Other additional features will be things like: - The Windows Store: a place to buy and sell apps like the one from Mac - Easier development, if you are a developer you will be able to add apps to the Windows Store - It will be more cloud oriented - Connection with Xbox Live (so it will a have a wider offer of games and content in general)
I only have seen videos of Windows 8 I am using Windows 7 and are very good the only think that I hear from comments for Windows 8 is that it has a very good graphical interface
Microsoft launches windows 8 beta version try it. In my point of view windows 8 is much better then windows 7.
I have hands on the windows 8 consumer preview.I welcome the new interface but its not useful for traditional mouse/keyboard PC user. Its only effective on touch screen PC.Also there are many features that are hidden. But many are not welcoming the new interface :-
I just got the Windows 8 Consumer Preview too. It's looking pretty sleek and I like how all the programs are organized in an App format. Always thought the smartphone model wouldn't fit with a desktopOS but it looks rather nice! Still need to learn all the shortcuts. @medirays I completely agree with you that many features are hidden and hard to find.
Until Windows 8 comes out. Some people dont like change, until its been out for some time, they get a new computer with it, or Microsoft "encourages" its use
