It's good... Because with every update your safety will be more secured. And the new OS is much more beautiful that previous =)
No doubt, they will have to release a new windows version by 2012 to stay competitive in the marketplace. The consumer is always looking for the newest and most improved product out there. Not to mention Microsoft has so much cash that they have no choice but to spend it, and to spend it on the development of a new operating system. I can assure you that production of Windows 8 started well before Windows 7 was even finalized/released.
That is one reason I won't bother with Windows 7. My gut feeling is Windows 7 is to compensate for poor sales stats of Vista. It may be a tad bit better with a few more out of the box tweaks, but I don't see it as a huge difference as say Win ME vs Win 98. Am I wrong about that? I think it is pure marketing hype. There was nothing inherently wrong with Vista, it was just more ram hungry and people got duped into buying it for older computers and it got a bad rep because of it. I bought a new machine before I even had the Vista OS. I love it, actually. I tweaked the crap out of it and it works brilliantly.
@BadBoyzStudioZ: As a coder, I can tell you Windows 7 is a lot more than just a few GUI gimmicks. In fact, there is little change in the GUI. If you are on Vista, really shift to this one soon. I just found the Vista interface really annoying.
It is why i always keep an Ubuntu handy even when windows fries i still get a chance to have all my files back. Binoy
f the next release goes according to plan we will have a new release of Windows client and server somewhere in 2012 codename “Windows 8â€
Right now, I am using Window XP and waiting for Google Chrome operating System because I like all product or service of Google.
I'm sure Win 7 is fully capable of working with USB3 as well as all other improved hardware and software version over the next few years. That's what service packs and updates are for. Win 7 is still new, it's full potential still lies ahead.
I really kept XP quite long and now I chose to run Win 7 which is quite OK in comparison to Vista I am quite happy with Windows and if number 8 brings something completeoly new, I am with it. cheers
