Bill Gates talked about Windows 7 being released next year, and while most people dismissed that as vaporware, I'm seeing more and more news about the next version of Windows, which could (hopefully) put Vista to bed soon. Or at least, next year. http://www.microsoft-watch.com/content/operating_systems/windows_7_debuts_at_d6.html http://gizmodo.com/346711/windows-7-to-be-released-ahead-of-schedule
no i dont think so.. i think it will end up requiring more resources and most noobs i mean* peopel will complain that thier pc's 126mb ram isnt able to handle it.. and do the same thing they did with vista. (complain) I mean the touch based part (if its true) will require you to buy a new monitor.. which probly be $300-$500 for a 14 inch.. then you will need 2gb ram low and probly 4gb ram to run smooth or so.. (Vista is at 1gb low and needs 2gb to run smooth) But its all good i wonder how sick it be playing like Call of Duty 6 P) with your finger
As i know Microsoft announced that they will create each 3 years new OS. I think that Vista hadn't a big success and Dreads is right new operation systems will require more and more resources.
I personally think.. Windows should also take its nice os and design a small and power saving os as well. A simple and small one with very limited but useful resources.. - Webbrowser - - You do not need word, as there are free online based tools - - You can watch tv and listen to music through the internet - Simple Tools - - Calculator? Anyhow with a small harddrive and small screen + possibly no diskdrive .. i think they can go somewhere with this. I mean it be super fast and extremely nice. Also they can take that os.. and add a virtual machice software so that if you have vista, you can run that 2nd os off of it. Thats all it really needs..
It is the web age nowadays. Things are run off the web browser most of the time. I don't think I need ANY of the desktop software except maybe the music player itself.
If this is true that Microsoft has a new Windows next year it means that Vista was a tremendous disappointment.
Vista is awful, im surprised that they came back so quickly, but if its windows chances are this may be a dissapointing release aswell, im just gonna stick with XP until a decent alternative comes out.
We shall see if it comes out next year.. I doubt it as Vista hasnt been out that long.. in fact some may still consider it new technology. If it comes out next year Vista would have been pointless, and it shows that they dont give a crap to actually fix vista, just start something new.
Vista has been a huge disappointment and i would not be surprised if they came out with something new. No surprise as it would bring Micro$oft some more loot as well...
Depends on your point of view. As a user, Vista was a dissaster, but as a shareholder it was a godsend. Microsoft is a business, and they need to keep coming out with new products to make money, whether you like it or not. If you want quality, try linux.
Microsoft invested Billions of dollars in Vista I true doubt Windows 7 will be to different from Vista.
