Windows 7 is doing pretty good i guess only if they work on the pricing like sell it depending on how the country earns

As much as I like windows 7, i don't think it will be a hit. People will find something to complain about, i'm sure.

Windows 7, use the Ultimate and its kick back and relax. Oh, make sure to take the 64 bit version and 4 Gigs.

I will stick with vista, works ok for nearly everything now, what's the point upgrading yet again?? just to make the richest man in the world even richer?

Win7 is not always faster or consumes less resources than XP depending on what you're doing. Also, ArsTechnica and others question whether you need to upgrade at all.

Not all machines can run the Windows 7 Xp mode.

Your machine should have hardware virtulization to run that. And Ms has a software to check that whether your machine can support xp mode or not.

If i badly need xp i will get that with VMWare, as of now Win7 seems to be Ok. One or two didn't work, but it was ok when i selected compatibility has xp sp2 at the time of installation.

Microsoft is a multi-billion dollar coporation. Why wouldn't I trust them? And Vista wasn't a flop, I would like you to do better. Like make a simple OS isn't hard but all the features, advertising, ect. I mean look how many copies they sold! So don't trash Microsoft unless you can do better.

I think Microsoft didn't have the best AD campaign compared to what they could have. My family didn't even know Windows 7 was being released until it came on the News saying that Techies go to the Midnight launch...

I seriously think only people who are interested in tech new that Windows 7 was being released. Wasn't really that public

I know, that was a smart move my microsoft. You gotta understand it. They are trying to bring the population of people who don't know **** about the computer down, so now, it will start looking like only techies (the smart ones) use Windows 7, then everyone will want it. I hope I don't have to explain further, its basic marketing.

Oh I see, yeah that makes much more sense. Actually probably better for the techies. No more extra user friendly and straight into the advanced stuff. Too bad I have a mac:( I love my mac but hate OSX. Only use it for graphic design.

But will be coming to windows next week when I buy my new computer!

Yeh, Mac is just for "goody-goodies", you know what I mean, the people who just play by the rules, if you know what I mean. Windows is for the techs, hackers, ect. Same with Linux.
