I heard that Windows 7 is a lot better than Vista but still there are programs that won't run in Windows 7. I have to say that Windows XP is the best OS ever created by Microsoft
Vista really wasn't that bad, I've been using it for 3 years now. Either way, looking forward to Windows 7. Just all the new features are enough to make me want it. Then theres the better performance on top of that, hot damn.
I love XP, I stayed away from vista, partly because of the issues I read about but mostly because XP did every thing I wanted it to and could not see any benefit in moving to vista. But, I have had Win7 on one of my computers for a while, had very few issues with beta versions of it and none I can think of since RC1 came out. It works well, is snappy and solid. I will definitely be moving all my machines to Win7 once it has been out a couple of months. (Probably around Jan) Cheers James
RC version are rocking over vista performance wise. So win 7 will have more life than vista. You can say vista is hands down like windows ME.
Answer = Go Linux No but really, I heard Windows 7 is equal to the speed on Ubuntu. Not sure about how big and how much memory uses it but I will be upgrading
MS really blew the whole trust thing with me. Vista was such a turd, XP Pro works just fune and I never have any issues and it runs everything I need it to flawlessly. If MS wants to put out a great OS, maybe just make XP Pro look like Vista nad call it good!
I don't think MS is concerned about the home users as they don't use the same amount of applications that business users do. A lot of companies, including the one I work for, run some custom applications that are incompatible with Vista and hence choose to stick with XP. This is why MS comes out with the utility, XP Mode, to encourage the small to medium size business owners to upgrade to Windows 7.
Nothing can say,but after watching vista we can say that windows 7 will not work, coz mostly the peoples likes XP so much.
Vista IMO wasen't so bad to begin with, and just got better, the huge clenching numbing amount of bad PR it got flopped it, i mean, half the people posting here that it was horrible etc probably didn't try it long enogh. UAC was a pain, speed wasen't a issue for me but, its like comparing XP speed to 7, its been 10 years since XP, this isn't out yet, i mean, i woulden't be suprised if it would be slower then vista or more, i mean, computers these days are easily capable of vista, when it came out some simply were too weak, microsoft was bit stupid with vista capable but won't make that mistake again. suprisingly 7 is on par speed with XP, even though its 10 years newer and has a load of more features.
Nothing more than Vista. Windows 7 is basically a copy of of Windows Vista. Only difference is a new default theme, and better softwares. If you want the best of your computer, don't waste it on windows 7, windows 7 requires 500mb more ram, and 2x more space. Meaning around 1.5gb is required just to run windows 7 and about 15-30gb of disk space. If your running Vista, just download the theme, and the softwares are easy to get from the internet. Don't waste your money, time and slow down your computer. Overall, if your a Windows XP user, congratulations you have the best of Windows.
I've been using 7 since I got my copy. Haven't had any problems and it's great. I love it! I Still have computers in the house that use vista and xp, but 7 really is my favorite.
My predixtion is the consesus will be it sucks ( as it always is) then when people get used to it that will change to it's great. Same was said about 98 ME 200, Xp and of course Vista. However the only time I saw it hold true was windows ME. That did suck.
win 7 is sort of cool but their marketing department needs to be smacked around a bit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cX4t5-YpHQ Disclaimer: Could very well be the most painful vid you have ever seen. It's no wonder the comments are disabled. http://www.pcpro.co.uk/blogs/2009/10/09/the-microsoft-windows-7-party-pack-in-pictures/ Nigel
It will be released soon and will surely give it a try. Currently using Vista and don't like it that much.
