You know, we should have paid a little closer attention to Microsoft's decision yesterday to extend Windows XP sales to "June 2010 or one year after the general availability of Windows 7" -- if the company was really planning on shipping Windows 7 in 2010, that first date doesn't make a lot of sense unless the plan is to ship Windows 7 much, much earlier. And hey -- what's Bill Gates doing telling investors this afternoon that Windows 7 will come "in the next year" and that he's "super-enthused" about it? As far as we know, the official Windows 7 timeline hasn't changed, so Bill might just talking about beta versions, but something's clearly up Windows-wise in Redmond -- perhaps Vista's wow is not long for this now.
This is confusing: XP sales to 1 year after windows 7 Makes no sense as windows 7 is coming out in 2010 BG says that it will be out "in the next year" Something has happened in Redmond and we havn't been told. Hmm Well, I just bought a Vista machine - what am I to do ? Wow, what something to think about.
Xp untill 2010 because is too popular maybe or something we don't know, i'm waiting to see the new windows 7
I thought I read some where that they are stopping XP sales either the end of this year or early next year. They could support XP to 2010
From what I read there was a lot of things that they wanted to include in vista that they didn't have time to. Like a new file system. Vista was already delayed enough and they wanted to get it shipped which would explain why windows 7 is coming out faster then expected
by and large I don't think you can get much worse! Whilst I don't have too many issues with it, I find it more a pain that software and add-ons won't work with it, it's getting better but drivers are still a nightmare!
i never like vista in the first place. i felt that the OS is too heavy on graphics. XP still is moderate. hoping for the best for W7
Vista=Windows2000me A solution to a non-existent problem that was abandoned to the scrap heap of history in the hopes that everyone will forget about how bad it was. Lets hope 7 is a "real" improvement.
