Hey guys, I am wondering where I can find a good buy Windows 7 Home Premium Full Retail besides the official website(kinda costly there). I thought the Black Friday would offer some good deals but unfortunately, I didn't find anything attractive. I know it sounds cliche but I heard that there's some places in the web where people actually purchase genuine software for way cheaper price but honestly I really forgot that website. If you guys, know or have any good tips where I can purchase the mentioned from above(legit and genuine only), simply post them here. I'd really really appreciate your effort! Cheers
There was a black friday thing here for windows 7 pro was $119 and premium $79. They are full version oem. Generally to qualify for oem you have to buy some piece of hardware, but in the past a simple 4 pin cd/hard drive power cable extender qualified for $5. Oem you just don't get the fancy box, you get the disk, license, and about 10 page manual. I have had xp home oem for years and I paid $89 or $99 at the time. These are not upgrades but full version oem. So if you want a legit windows 7 and don't care about the fancy retail box, you might look for oem. You probably will be required to buy a piece of hardware to qualify, but like I said some cheap cable will usually be enough. Just a suggestion if you want to save a few $'s and be totally legit.
Isn't the win741 thing for upgrades only not full version and for college students with .edu email addresses or something though?
Or might as well download a torrent then? Ebay is bad for software, never get anything from ebay as your not really covered
most things are compatible.. been using it for more than 3 months.. you just need to handle some compatibility by doing some settings will do.. none of the applications or drivers has compatibility problem for me so far.. using - win7 professional 64bit release candidate
I have been using windows 7 since the day its first beta was released. I'd say its a great release by Microsoft. I've heard many people telling about the incompatibility issue. I personally never faced any such problems as most of the programs work very well.
