    They may want to change the usage model - Like Pay $1 a month every month you continue to use our software or something like that. Those with self conscious and guilt will pay because only money can motivate the software authors enough to keep improving and maintaining their softwares. Every little bit of incoming income would help the software writers.

    I don't get it. People complain about refusing to pay MS prices and use that to justify their illegal actions in pirating their software. IF the software produced by MS is to expensive for you, then use linux? Pirating software is no different than stealing merchandise from a retailer.

    Not everyone can afford to drive a Ferrari, so people buy/get something else to drive. Likewise, MS operating systems may be to expensive for some people...so get LINUX!!!

    Look at the bright side, China still has the best trade status with the USA (MFN - Most Favoured Nation). And this is still after consuming millions of jobs and replacing those products with inferior and in some cases unhealthy products (lead in toys, pesticides, etc.). Makes you wonder why countries still trade with China???
