Windows 8 tries to hard to be user-friendly.

Where people are already used to the windows system, and now you introduce a new UI, which pretty much makes users find it harder to learn. =_="

Its on people Mindset.. Windows 8 is a very good OS and also apps are easier to develop as well.

I heard saw an article few days back people ignoring because of No "Start Button" (Anyhow WIndows 8.1 will have it..). Crazy! We should move on!

I have used Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8. I think Windows 8 is far better than all previous OS. But also have few negative points. But Windows 8.1 will have the corrections.
I liked the fastest shut down of Windows 8.
Learn to use Windows 8, you will like it the most. It's improved for new generation.
I have seen the Windows 8.1 improvements and satisfied about them. More improvement will be done by Microsoft, before final release of Windows 8.1
So waiting for the final release.

No reason to upgrade to Windows 8 since Windows 7 does it's job admirably. No reason to spend money on a new OS until you need to upgrade your hardware. It's just better business sense. No needless expenses.

Windows 7 by far. I got 8 on my new laptop and I hate it
Having said that, I'd rather just have a Mac anyway ;)

I voted for windows 7, for his simplicity and windows 8 is not yet stable, it is too much complicated for certain people.

this is what happened to me.

i brought a upgrade from 7 to 8. Within 20 mins off the update the laptop froze. could move mouse and that was it. had to wait 1-3 mins for it to come back alive and then 3 mins later froze again, after a 4 hr chat with Microsoft ( who could not solve anything ) i got a refund and kept the software. 2 days later ( nearly binned the laptop ) i read was my drivers for the card. replaced and worked a lot better.

now for 5 months after playing with bits was all ok. Then after a update i could not install fonts. the UAC was buggy ect. i did a so called win 8 refresh pc. Had to reinstall programs ( 3 hrs )

UAC was still buggy. So removed 8, re coded my win 7 and for 5 days all ok . No bugs, fonts all working, no driver crash ect

Windows 8 is great but not complete without ClassicShell.

    Stable and nice OS.
