Metro is the default setting in Windows 8, it's not the only setting. I only used it long enough to change the default to Desktop.

Windows 7 at the moment. Because W8 is not that stabilized yet, has some issues and bugs here and there

Still haven't upgraded to Windows 8. I don't really see the need to.. Windows 7 suits me just fine.

I am using windows 8. It is just awesome. I think their is no much difference between win 7 and win 8 both are approx similar little bit change you may found while using win 8. You may try this version of win too it is quite interesting. I love to use this version of windows.

Have tried Windows 8, would have preferred it if Microsoft had included a Start button on the taskbar, but oh well, have to adapt to it I guess :)

I was lucky. I got Windows 8 when it was on sale at Future Shop for 69 dollars plus tax. Now it is 250 "around"at many places. I got in very early. I love the metro style, though it can be tricky at times. I am still learning Win 8. There are some little tricks to get it right. Other than that, I love the little tiles of the Metro style.

I'll get windows 8 whenever I'll buy my next laptop, I'm not going to spend any money to upgrade win7 to win8, it should have been included as a standard upgrade, because I've already paid for that operating system when I bought my current laptop.
It's the same scam as with mac os, instead of free upgrades they give it a new name and now you have to pay, forget it.

I'm very satisfied with my Windows 7, and probably I won't change it until I buy a new laptop.
