I have just installed Windows 8 but my opinion is that Windows 7 was better.
    What you think?

Not had a chance to try Windows 8 yet but 7 has done quite a good job.

will be interested to read reviews once people start using it. Personally, I wouldn't buy it for the first 12 months, let Microsoft sort out the bugs first!

I recently bought a refurbished computer with Windows 7 on it so I doubt I'll get to use Windows 8 for a while yet. People seem really divided about what they think and I would love to give it a try.

I won't upgrade from Windows 7 for 5 years unless I can help it. Hell even Windows XP offers everything I'd need.

I'd stick with Windows 7 if I were you. I don't use Windows anymore but I'd never switch to Windows 8.

    I voted for Windows 8.
Despite what people say about it, I think it's a great operating system.
I love the app store and I love (I mean "LOVE") the Live tiles homescreen.

Windows 8 is recently launched operating system. So, this is not right time to give rating between windows 7 and windows 8.

I think Windows 8 has the potential to be better than 7, just that we are not used to it yes :)

My wife just bought a laptop that came with 8 (we were both on 7 since the first RC). I like the tiles and I'm comfortable with a touch screen. Are the basic operating systems different? Yes, in ways I don't like. So my computers are staying with Windows until I'm forced to install Linux.

I personally hate windows 8, because it only suits on a tablet and not a laptop. Microsoft shouldn't had created 2 variations of windows 8. Besides, many games aren't compatible with windows 8. Valve called windows 8 a catastrophe.
