Windows 7 on Ebay? Anyone?

    Hey guys,

I want to switch to windows 7 from XP but $200 is a bit too much since I can do almost everything on XP anyways.

I found a retail key on ebay for $30. Is it legit? Anyone actually try it?

    Let me know,

    Thanks,

It might be legit because a lot of people have MSDN accounts and they can have a supply of keys for Windows 7. I'm not saying you should buy it because it's your decision whether to place the bid or not.

I would say it's risky buying keys on eBay. You never really know if it will work. It might ever be blacklsited a couple months down the road?

It's not legit, plain and simple.

Get the retail, or wait till you get another computer (OEM version is a lot cheaper).

keys are legit but you wont be the owner of keys. those are extra seat license which are bought in name of someone else. best thing is you can download the application called as removewat, this application is called as hack but it is completely legal as per the microsoft agreement. as per microsoft activation is optional but they haven't provided any tools to bypass activation.

The key's are NOT perfectly legal. It's a violation of the MDSN agreement. And the people selling these copies are selling Pirated/unlicensed software keys. Should Microsoft become aware of these resellers, they can persue legal action against the seller. And will 100% ban the license key's.

I know I am a little late, but as stated previously, its probably someone that has a MSDN account. MSDN is a business network for people that run businesses that want product keys for ALL of microsoft's products. I think if you look at the feedback, that helps a lot as well.
