i thought windows 7 will be more faster and effective unlike vista. i am still using xp sp3 for windows only. but at home, i use mac os X coz at work, i need to deal with many windows based. LOL all i see is those are tweak theme screen shots???
I have seen these pics before on some other sites, it looks pretty cool, but I'm not sure whether it's true or fake.
I hope for Microsoft's sake that they are fake screenshots.. 4GB is a ridiculous requirement. Anything more then 1GB is too much.
win 98 runs on 32 MB RAM. but Windows XP needs minimum 128MB ram and it was realsed within 3 years after the 98 release. so if you can increase form 32 to 128(no one use that though) or better 256 then why everyone thinks like that 4GB is a very very very big deal??????? just think what has changed in a past few months. now a 256MB SD ram costs more than a 1 GB DDR2 ram. so dont think about the price. at that time our PC may not be the same as it is now.
Hey hey... All of those screenshots are just concept arts from deviantart. The system requirements wont be that high lol! If you've followed the Windows 7 blog from Microsoft, you would know, that they wanted to lower the requirements set for Vista.
Goto hell such crazy OS! Looks more like a flash movie or presentation than an OS. What are these guys up to? Destroy the concept of productivity-OS?
believe it or not, i am still using TinyXP install on top of Virtual PC running on windows XP and it run supper fast on my old laptop. So to me, windows 7 or Vista does not matter as my laptop does not have enough ram for them
Collabstation...you have to be kidding me. Time for you to get some clues. Expectations are not always reality. MS is the company that paid billions for webtv. They created Windows ME too. Know your history. It still is. Very little has changed in that regard. But what happened to your espousing of the companies virtue for leading edge operating systems. You defeated your own argument. Good for you. I am very happy you got that POS working well. Same doesn't hold true for others. I can do that on XP without having to upgrade to Vista or spend more money. I really hope you don't believe that. Modern OS systems should be pain free. Adoption relies on simplicity and reliability. For someone claiming to be in the tech sector you don't seem to have that grasp. Vista is a DESKTOP OS...it's not an enterprise software. For business or home users they need reliabilty without having to "tweak" their OS. XP requires no such efforts. Again...good for you but how does your own personal experience relate to the millions of others. I subscribe to business computer magazines and there isn't any positive articles about Vista or it's adoption rate. As a matter of fact most articles are about how people are NOT switching over to Vista and the why's. Mostly it's related to "why bother" if you ask me. Maybe you can answer that simple question...why bother to upgrade when XP works very well and has the higher compatibility. That is a rant. Doesn't make a lot of sense. Me personally. I run 5 computers in my house and on average buy a new one every 6 months. I don't consider myself an average user by far. But what is "average user". Isn't that the normal person that just needs their computer to work? Your elitist attitude doesn't sit well with me. And I don't expect somebody with your obvious lack of humor to understand that it's pure satire. Did you go and bother to read it before making a comment? Do you lack the ability to research things before making judgements? Feel free to respond. Enjoy. EDIT: Oh and I just wanted to add...I been playing with various forms of Windows OS since 1.0. I actually still have the original 5 floppy discs (5.25) for the install. I think I can speak from experience and history better than most. You know absolutely ZERO about who I am and what I know.
I think if Linux could invest into having pre-built highend graphics processing software to match the GUI abilities of Vista, and then have some sexy person make a sexy GUI for it, and then have it still remaining taking next-to-no resources, and then a company invested some time into advertising it on TV, and then had it available for purchase in stores, or even sitting there on the check-out desk like one of those free CD demo things, a lot more people would use Linux. It's just, 90% of the world doesn't know what an ISO is, let alone how to use one.
yeh i think those shots are fake tho im pretty sure i seen some real ones somewhere.. the is def a copy of windows 7 out there microsoft staff are currently beta testing it i think
These Screenshots arent Official.... These are made by CG specialist...or some wndowsn Theme. Yep agreed Next OS of Microsoft is already names as "Windows 7", earlier it was "windows Vienna". Hope this time this OS wont Suck, and they are makin it after the failure of vista...so i belive it will be less Ram eater..lol
Windows 7 is formerly known as Black comb and Vienna. Vienna is the next major version of Microsoft Windows as the successor of Windows Vista. Windows Vienna may include features that were dropped from Vista such as the new file system. Additional new features may include a dramatically new UI and other new features from the Microsoft Development labs, such as group bar and layout bar. Security will also be enhanced with applications and external access being placed in a secure sandbox that prevents any effects to other applications and the OS itself. -------------------------------------------- Bindu Jaisankar
4 gig of ram, that is ouch. i'll stick to xp. windows security is vulnerable, crackers are just waiting. ^_^
